Don't deny it, there's a geek hiding in you, waiting to be freed. Good thing today is July 13! It's time to show the geek you really are, because it's Embrace Your Geekness Day!

We'd like to share with you that other side of the Juice team you thought never existed. We know, we know; you're probably thinking, "Doth this band of beguiling people have such a trait of bore? Are they not of Midgardian descent? Curses! Curses to thy nine realms!"

Yes, we imagine our readers talk like Thor. We're cool that way.

I have paper shredders, paper cutters, different scissors, and punchers. I look for reasons to use them even if I rarely do. Not sure if that makes me geeky or simply weird. I guess I just love paper and the many things you can make with it. Especially books!

I’m probably not the geekiest person. I did hit a fork at one point in the journey of my life, however, when I trotted briefly on the grounds of geekdom – and I have a garage full of old computer parts and accessories to prove it.

In high school, l I built somewhere in the area of 70 individual computers for family and friends, mixing and matching the latest CPU chips with the best sound and video cards custom to the user. Those were frustrating days of searching for which Jumper you placed wrong or what power connector you forgot to connect.

As a freshmen at UCLA I took programming classes and was planning to become a coder (a move that I should have made in retrospect because it would have made me rich like Rick James, bitch) but I didn't. Somewhere along the line, I fell in love with a young maiden named surfing and I traded my computer geek armory. I began a quieter life of travel and surf.

Spider-man Geek!

I have over five hundred issues of his comic book adventures, from the prized "Amazing" antiques from the '60s that I inherited and traded for, to all the spin-offs : Peter Parker, the Spectacular Spider-man, Marvel Team-Up, his one-offs with Superman in those rare Marvel-DC crossovers, and all the way to the Ultimates series. My complete collection is now worth almost ten thousand dollars! But I'll never ever sell my comics. I'm sure that someday, my future son (or daughter) will be just as Spider-geeky as their father was, is, and will be!

I’m a big football fan and an even bigger fan of REAL MADRID (FIFA Club of the 20th Century and the winningest club ever) so I collect Real Madrid shirts.

I’m not known as the ‘crazy cat lady’ for nothing. Growing up with pets, I was taught to treat cats like family. I have a total of 9, and they’re all spoiled silly. I can’t resist a lost and crying kitten wandering the streets (the horror!). I’ve even saved abandoned newly-born kitties, with umbilical cord and all, which helped me master the art of raising and understanding cats.  Aside from learning the cat language, I also have a growing collection of Henry Cats & Friends merch. Those pebble-shaped cuties are the most adorable cat artwork I’ve ever owned!

My unflinching loyalty to certain film directors and, more specifically, to LOST, the late-great TV show that ended two years ago. Every week I would throw screening parties for the latest episode. My friends and I would dress up as LOST characters, made labels for LOST beer, and would recap every episode by discussing our theories until the sun came up. The first season of LOST on DVD is one of my most prized possessions.

Aside from being a Disney-Pixar addict (e.g., I can quote practically the entirety of "Tangled"), I am also a fan of classic computer games, especially Super Mario 3. I love the simple game play - it's challenging enough but not too complicated. What I love most about the game, however, are the Super Mushroom and the 1-Up Mushroom, Mario and Luigi's own brand of uh... steroids. They are much too cute to provide such awesome powarz! I have plushies of these babies, custom-made cellphone charms, even bedroom slippers!

I'm not a big gamer, but I've got a collection of sketchbooks from elementary up until high school filled with video game characters from Starcraft, Diablo I and II, Doom and Quake. I'd buy the games and the walk-throughs just to draw the characters because the art in them was so awesome! Oh, I had an Alien phase, too.

Where to find video games: Infinity Place Video Gaming Center

As a child, I was not a big fan of playing with Barbie.  I enjoyed playing with my brother since his toys were cooler than mine.  My brother's love for Star Wars rubbed off on me.  My mom loved the thought of us getting along so well, she even bought us matching Star Wars underwear! I still get a kick out of cute Star Wars interpretations, such as this Chewbacca Burger.
