A night of indie-chillwave-hipster revelry awaits the Filipino-American recording artist who, only a few years ago, was as obscure as the slivers of pomelo hanging from his lips for the artwork of Underneath the Pine, his second studio album released in February 2011.

For 25 year old Chazwick Bundick, being identified with the chillwave movement can be considered a feat in a generation of music pockmarked by the likes of Beliebers, Lady Gaga, and well, Nicki Minaj-- so using his beginnings as an artist of the movement, Toro Y Moi sets out to experiment, experiment, and experiment. Being close friends with fellow chillwave artist Washed Out, it's no surprise that the onset of drippy beats, hollow vocals, and droned out synths make listening to every track a treat.



Here's some electro, synthpop and a 'lil funk slapped together for your liking, just in time for his performance at Hard Rock Cafe Manila on February 15! And by the way, Toro Y Moi does mean the Bull and Me (roughly, anyway) so it's mwah, not "moy," fools.
