Spun by operatives with intersecting agendas, Miller must hunt through covert & faulty intelligence hidden on foreign soil for answers that will either clear a rogue regime or escalate a war in an unstable region. "It is not for you to decide what happens to this country!" That sums up America's role as global interloper. Green Zone is literally the 10 square km area occupied and secured with international presence in Baghdad. This film stares down and exposes the debacle that was the Iraq Invasion - where are the Weapons of Mass Destruction? It does not have the soul and flesh of The HURT LOCKER, but it is ballsy, gritty, and action filled, with a tension that takes you into the bowels of the US Military, diplomacy and CIA in Iraq. Matt Damon does a top notch job, and it's amazing how his career has gone this far, when all else thought Ben Affleck would be the bigger star. Paul Greengrass (of the last 2 Bourne flicks) does an excellent job directing this. Watch this, then pull out and watch DVDs of Black Hawk Down, The Hurt Locker and Body of Lies, and you'll have your fill. Too bad this film flopped in the US, released so soon after Alice in Wonderland...

Interesting perspective on the Iraqi war. The US is not all they project themselves to be.
