Dolphy, known as the Philippines' King of Comedy, passed away on July 10, 2012 at the age of 83. After more than 60 years of entertaining Filipino families, beginning with his 1946 film Dugo At Bayan, it seemed as if it will never end. It's a tragic loss to the industry, but Dolphy's comforting words during the ABS-CBN special on his life reminds us that his legacy will not be soon forgotten: "Pindutin n'yo lang ang play at tayo'y mag sasamahan, mag chichikahan, mag chochorbahan... Hehehe."
Kevin Cosme, Walterina Markova, John Puruntong - these are just a few of Dolphy's roles we remember him by. Here's a look into some of his most iconic characters:

John Puruntong in John En Marsha (1973)

Kevin Cosme in Home Along Da Riles (1992)

Walterina Markova in Markova: Comfort Gay (2001)

John Puruntong in John En Shirley (2006)

Father Jejemon in Father Jejemon (2010)

Goodbye, Dolphy. You will be missed.
