Vietnamese Food done Lola's wayBawai is vietnamese for lola or grandmother, so expect heartwarming, down-to-earth, simple, no fuss Vietnamese cuisine. Surprise! It was all that, but with a flair for presentation that places Bawai's notches above your typical Pho restaurant, or your typical Tagaytay dining fare. We had lotus soup, fresh spring rolls, barbecue, a banana custard, tea - it was excellent. Ingredients are all imported from Saigon, where Bawai is in constant touch with family. Make reservations ahead of time though as capacity is limited. It's the grandparents' retirement home, after all.
