Rant and Rave one of the most historic coliseum in the philippines.

Rant and Rave Whenever you enter this venue, the history is palpable. You can feel the residual electricity in the air from all of the fantastic events that the Coliseum has held inside it - a personal favorite being the Crispa - Toyota reunion game in 2003. However I feel that the satisfaction derived from the venue is very dependent on the quality of the event being held, and I'm sure there have been crappy shows here as well. All in all, a very big venue with big potential, but enjoyment is a case-to-case thing depending on the show you're watching.

Rant and Rave Jacked up prices for concerts when the coliseum acoustics suck big time. I wish they'd invest in better audio given the price they charge for concerts. When you're in the gen ad section, you might as well just be listening to a sucky videoke rendition of songs, minus the vocals. Sound is best around the lower box section, but still, it needs improvement. The VIP section during concerts shouldn't have seats anymore, if anything they are safety hazards especially if it is a rock show and there are moshers. Now that the MOA Arena is up, let's see what they do to be atpar with the competition.

world-class I've been in Araneta Coliseum twice. The first time was a Ginebra Game back in the 90's (si Jawo pa yata yung playing-coach) the 2nd time was last Saturday (july 19, 2008) for Disney's High School Musical on Ice. Grabe improvements ng coliseum. Very nice and world-class na. The ushers were very nice and accomodating, naka upo kagad kami sa assignes seats namin, and the kids enjoyed the whole event. Once labeled as the largest covered coliseum in the world, the historical Araneta Coliseum is definitely home of the biggest event happened in our country. From the glitz and glamour of the Bb. Pilipinas down to the showcasing of vocal prowess of Regine Velasquez, Peabo Bryson, Jeffrey Osbourne, Brian Mcknight, etc., I've witnessed it all here at the Big Dome simply because it is the perfect place for these kind of magnificent event. Elorde, Pacquiao, Penalosa and the rest of the gang have knocked-down their opponent and made us proud inside this circular ring of pride!
