The importance of going green has been talked about countless times. “It’s not only good for Mother Nature, but for us as well,” yada yada yada. It’s nothing new, and I’m sure whatever point I wish to raise was already discussed one way or the other. So what else is there to say? Why release another magazine issue to cover something we all know too well? For us, it’s simple. We don’t want to stop now when more and more people are working on environmental change. Let’s keep talking about it until it becomes the new norm. Let’s incessantly spread the word until people get up off their asses, and stop pretending that this subject has nothing to do with their lives.

(Rant if it sucks, rave if it rocks. Share your thoughts and win awesome prizes!)

There are so many ways to help. In this issue, we give you options to do just that. You can support conservationists Anna Oposa and Maricris Sarino, our cover personalities. You can donate to Stiftung Solarenergie, Isang Litrong Liwanag, or One Million Lights, organizations that provide sustainable and earth friendly light sources to underprivileged communities. You can also advocate the green products listed on our Shopping section.

To contribute or not, it’s entirely up to you. Just stand up for something and rally for change. It really isn’t for anybody’s benefit but yours.
