Now, I LOVE everything Bacon or Bacon - related~ but I have to admit, even I will have to approach this liquefied (?) pork belly with some trepidation. Unfortunately, reports from the United States, where Jack in the Box launched this last month, are far from encouraging~ there's almost no real bacon in the shake, just a Bacon-flavored (???) syrup. Apparently, all the shake offers is a slight hint of Bacon "smokiness", and Jack in the Box doesn't even sprinkle Bacon Bits on top.

Oh well, Bacon can't win them all... I'm in the process of crafting my own homemade Bacon Shake, and while it's in development, I'll content myself with my Ice Cream floats, using the ever reliable and versatile Vanilla Ice Cream,exactly the same base used in the Bacon Shake.

You can make this at home, just get a pint or half-gallon of Selecta, Magnolia, or Nestle Vanilla~ they are all equally good!!!

1. Purple Cow

A scoop of Vanilla Ice Cream on a tall glass of Royal (or Welch's) Grape Soda.

2. Milky Cloud

Grab a can of that Yakult-like softdrink called Milkis and top off with Vanilla. Double White!
