The King's Cup

Have you ever heard of King's Cup? It's a classic drinking game where you layout a deck of cards and each one is assigned a certain task. Example, if you get a two then you choose who drinks (two is you), four then all the girls drink, a jack means you play a game of "I've Never", and so on and so forth. The biggest problem with this game is that EVERYONE has their own set of rules. Sure it's fun to have a little variation but it seems like nobody can seem to agree on one set. Because of this slight hiccup, I want to layout MY version of King's Cup.

Ace - Hand on the table. Last one to stack their hand on the table will drink!
2 - You. The person who picked the card can ask anyone to drink.
3 - Me. The person who picked the card has to drink.
4 - Chicks. All the girls in the playing group drinks
5 - Rules!!! This is my favorite. The person makes a rule and it has to be followed or the rule-breaker drinks. (More on some of the best rules at the bottom of this post)
6 - Boys. All the guys in the group have to drink
7 - All. Everyone takes a drink! :D #themorethemerrier
8 - Waterfall. Everyone continues to drink until the person who picked the card stops.
9 - Rhyme. The person gives a word and the next one has to give a word that rhymes. It goes on until someone messes up. The person who loses will drink.
10 - Categories. The person picks a category (ex. car brands) and everyone has to mention car brand. one by one. First one to mess up drinks!
Jack - I've Never. Everyone plays a round of "I've Never." Those who lose have to drink.
Queen - Questions. The person will start by asking a question directed at someone. Everyone should answer with another question. Whoever fails to ask a question or repeats a question will drink
King - The person fills up a cup with any drink they want to put in it. Whoever gets the 4th King has to drink everything!
There we go! That is my version and how I usually play it. As a tip, the 5 is the best card and can usually make or break a game. My friends have come up with crazy rules and here are my favorites:
- Talk in a Batman voice! When you hear the girls try this, it'll crack you up every time!
- No smiling. If you are tipsy and having fun, it's difficult not to smile. This gets everyone pretty hammered really quickly.
- Nobody can say the word "YOU." Anytime there is a word that is not allowed to be said, things get tricky!
- When anybody drinks, (insert name) has to drink also!! If you want to gang up on somebody, this is the best way to do it!
