"The Artist", a "silent movie" filmed in chiaroscuro black and white, is reaping award after award from film critics around the world, and most recently, in the Golden Globes of the Hollywood Foreign Press.

I'm sure it's a fine film, and I can't wait to see it, although I doubt very much if any local distributor will gamble on showing this in our theaters.

Well, hope springs eternal, specially for films that just might win the Academy Award!

While waiting for the (possible) premiere of "The Artist" in the Philippines, I'll content myself with these movies, now all on DVD, my favorites from 2011~
