My NO MEAT 2012 New Year's Diet

Posted on January 04, 2012 by Spanky Hizon Enriquez

After the excesses of the Holidays~and being a true blue Capampangan, believe me, I know excess~ it's imperative, not just time, to detox from all the cholesterol and carbohydrates, and all the cream and cheese and all kinds of sweets overflowing with all kinds of sugar!

(Check out EYP's Deal Finder for the best deals in Food & Dining)

Fortunately, Pampanga is also rich in the kind of cuisine that doesn't need any kind of beef, pork, or chicken to make it nutritious and delicious~ This first month of 2012, I'm reverting to the Farm and Fishpond favorites, grilled catfish, fermented rice (balu-balo and buro), ampalaya, and fresh eggs!

Going meatless to look good never looked this good!

Well for me you can still eat anything that you want! All you need is proper exercise and control.

Meat isn't unhealthy, it's the way you cook it.
