Buhay Pinoy
Nothing compares to lazy Sundays with nothing to do and nothing to
worry about. Just like any other, the much needed long weekend was spent with
my family and this time, we decided to have a day in the spa. We've already
been here once before for my niece's third birthday (Yes, that's right, third birthday! Maybe she gets it from
me?) a few months back and have been looking for the right time to go again.
I've actually been wanting to blog about this place for quite some time now, too,
so here it goes.
In Norse Mythology, Freyja is the goddess of love, fertility, gold, and beauty and just like her, getting pampered in Freyja Day & Nail Spa will make you look and feel like a goddess yourself.
Freyja's services may not be the cheapest you can find in the metro (a
mani-pedi would cost you PHP 360), but believe you me; you will definitely get
your money's worth. For one thing, all their tools are completely sterilized
and sealed for every customer. You can be assured of the cleanliness when they open sealed packets containing things like a nail cutter,
nipper, and nail file right in front of you. Aside from this, only top quality products
are used such as Orly Nail Polish, that will give you vibrant colors and will leave your nails
healthy and undamaged. Believe it or not, the last time I got my nails done
here, the nail polish lasted for around one month before I had to get them retouched!
Aside from their Celestial Basic Manicure &
Pedicure, other top-notch
services include the Hnoss' Divine Hand Spa, Heavenly
Sculpted Nails(extensions), Freyja's Spa Packages, body massages, body
scrubs, waxing, threading, and eyelash perming and extensions.

One other thing I like about Freyja are their facilities and interior design. An assortment of textures and
textiles are used all around, adding extra glamour. The seats are covered in
comfortable fabric that are equally beautiful and everything up until the light
fixtures are decked out with intricate design and decadence.

This time, I decided to have my fingernails painted with a deep magenta
colored nail polish called "Samba," and used a nude colored one called "Tennis, Anyone?" for my toe nails which I think is the most perfect name for it, because I could very much imagine Ana Ivanovic and Maria Sharapova using it during their Wimbledon matches.
