It is officially back to school season and even if it's been a couple of years since I graduated, I can't help but reminisce about my experience. From all the things I loved about school to everything I absolutely despise about it, it's always fun looking back at those awesome memories. As I walk down memory lane, here are a few things about school that I always enjoyed:

1. Chick hunting

I don't know if I was just fortunate but hot girls were everywhere when I was studying! It's as if they were put in the campus to distract me and my friends from our studies. Our classmates, the girls walking down the corridors, the ones buying food in the cafeteria, everywhere we go there was a distraction. I don't think it's possible to count the number of times my friends and I spent saying the phrase "Uy, ang hot nun oh! Nakita mo?" And, I admit, I had a lot of fun doing that! To the girls, no offense meant, we were just appreciating. Besides, your guy friends most definitely do the same thing.

2. Cafeteria food

I loved cafeteria food! Many people may not agree with me on that but I've always enjoyed it. Maybe it was also the fact that I could never really binge on it enough to get sick of it because I was always financially limited by my weekly allowance. Siomai rice, pork katsudon and all those other regular school meals never got old with me. It's surprising because I realize that I ate the same meals for four years!

3. Last day of class

This might sound weird at first but think about it. Is there a feeling better than the one you get when you know summer is just around the corner? It's that time when all the tests are over, everybody is planning their vacation trips and it feels like you are going to burst with excitement. That was such a great feeling and something I will miss because there is no summer to look forward to in the working world. :(

4. Friends!!!

Every single time we go out nowadays, we always end up talking about our college escapades. My friends definitely made my school experience. From the classes we had together to the breaks in between, everything I did was shared with them and up until now, they are the people I will probably hang out with forever. It's sentimental but you know it's true. The friends you make in high school and college are friends you can count on for a very long time! It just sucks that work always gets in the way of our plans! :(

5. Cramming

Ah yes, the art of cramming! Most of us have done it yet so few have mastered it. I can't claim to be an expert but I think I had my fair share of sneaky tactics when it comes to procrastinating. It might not have been fun when I was in school but looking back, it kind of added to the excitement of my school experience. The times I'd write a multi-page essay on the same day, the times I'd tell my groupmates I had done my part when I hadn't even started, and all those other crazy things are moments I can laugh about now.
