Synopsis:Five strangers are riding an elevator when they suddenly find themselves trapped. After several terrifying and inexplicable events, and the local fire department was unable to open the elevator, the people begin to turn against each other when they begin to suspect that one of them is in fact, the Devil.

Devil is a solid scary movie with a great storyline that is unfortunately getting a bad rep because of M. Night's other not so great films. I just hope more people realize this small fact and actually give it the time of day to go see it and realize that they might be judging a movie before giving it a chance.

This should have been Shyamalan's follow up to his first 3 movies; it would have delayed or prevented his decline. While not as gripping or intriguing as the first 3, Devil takes you into the hyper-intimate paranoia and fear that M Night is sometimes capable of. The film is effective because it is populated by unknown actors, a brilliant decision as it focuses the viewer on its premise: the Devil is among us and this is how he claims his own. Spooky. His formula is familiar and it still works. Did somebody else really directs Shyamalan's story and screenplay, or is he just too embarrassed to return to his roots? Watch out for veteran Jenny O'Harra - I c ant remember how many times she has scared me!

He is a genius of his own. Take into account 6th sense, lady in the water, the happening, the signs. He breaks the stereotype of your regular movie viewing.

m night shyamalan is a tool. the last airbender and then this? the guy should stop making movies.
