Michael Oher, a homeless African-American youngster, is taken in by the Touhys, a well-to-do white family. Living in his new environment, Michael faces a completely different set of challenges. He works hard as a football player & student. And with the help of his coaches & adopted family, he becomes an All-American offensive left tackle. For the Touhys, his presence in their lives leads them to insightful self-discoveries of their own.
Nice to know that stories like these are not only for the movies. ![]()

a touching story about family, friendship & an act of racial indiscrimination. i love the part when leigh anne (sandra bullock) first took in Big Mike, the African-American youngster & treated him as one of her own. and i was deeply moved by how her family, especially her kids, accepted Big Mike as part of their family. ![]()
