Synopsis:A semi-biographical martial arts film based on the life of Ip Man, a grandmaster of Wing Chun martial arts. He migrates to Hong Kong, which is under British rule, & attempts to propagate his Wing Chun discipline but faces rivalry from other practitioners, including the local master of Hung Ga martial arts.

People basically treat most Asian movies, more specifically Kung-fu movies a big disappointment. Ip Man 2 shows a great deal of desire and hope due to its intense grasp of the Chinese way of life. Most importantly, the pride within a man's heart for his nation and equality among foreigners and locals. I suggest you watch the first movie before taking this one on. It helps audiences appreciate Ip Man struggle in his current situation in this movie..and how amazingly he puts understanding and concern to his fellow countrymen. If you're looking for mild blood scenes and extreme kung-fu action you better check out the Ip Man series.

I watched an advance screening of this movie last Monday. At first I was hesitant because I was informed that it's a Chinese movie and was only dubbed in English. But after watching it,I realized that it is actually a nice movie, humorous and action-packed. I didn't mind the dubbing at all. And the movie further gives a strong impact on giving importance to their culture.
